Outpatient hämorrhoiden behandlung methods are more preferred over hospital stay treatments simply because they are cheaper and easier to perform and because the recovery period associated with these methods are better. However, they do suffer from the disadvantage of the chance of a reoccurrence. Nevertheless, people still prefer to go this way first before checking in for a prolonged hospital treatment.
The two commonly used outpatient methods of treatment for hemorrhoids are Injection Sclerotherapy and Infrared Photocoagulation. Both these methods are not associated with much pain but the later one does offer some amount of pain immediately after treatment is over. The advantages of both the methods are that they can be performed on elderly patients and can almost cure hemorrhoids permanently. The permanence is only restricted to the treated hemorrhoids but it does not ensure that hemorrhoids does not return later on. The later technique is costly but not that costly like a surgery is because it is not associated with hospitalization.
